it was my mum and grandpa that got me into photography.
if mum comes home from a holiday without hundreds of photographs, something went wrong. unusually, most of them will be good. it makes me very happy to know we have a time machine under the table at home where i can go back to all those places.
grandpa used to take pictures for the paper in guernsey. he used to shoot the hill-climbs long before i was around. grandma was clearing out a closet and i noticed his canon ae-1 program. he let me borrow it and i learnt more about exposure, framing and the other aspects of photography compact cameras had given me a tiny taste of.
my friend gabe gets credit too, for inspiring me to take pictures half as good as his.
